Overview

Pursuant to Art. 13 and Art. 14 GDPR, this policy informs you about which personal data are processed when you visit this website, for what purpose this is done and what rights you have.

Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is:

2Brands Media GmbH

Accessing the website

When you access a page, your browser transmits technical data to our server. This includes the shortened IP address, the date and time, the address accessed, the amount of data transferred and the browser identifier. We need this data to deliver the page and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted after 14 days at the latest and is not combined with other sources.

Visitor statistics

We analyse how this website is used. Counting takes place on our server as soon as a small script on this website reports the page view, without cookies and without disclosure to third parties. It only transmits the page viewed, the address of the page you came from and a campaign name from the address (utm_source). From your IP address, the browser identifier and a random value that is newly generated every day and deleted the following day, we form a shortened checksum. We do not store the IP address itself for this purpose, and as soon as the random value has been deleted, the checksum can no longer be attributed to anyone. For each page view we store, together with this checksum: the page accessed, the time, the type of origin (such as search engine or social network), in the case of a link from another website only its domain, a campaign name from the address (utm_source), the device type (smartphone, tablet, computer) and the browser and operating system as a rough category (such as Firefox or Android). We do not store the browser identifier itself. The same script measures how long the page was visible in your browser and, when you leave, sends only this duration together with a random identifier of the page view to our server; beyond that, it does not read any information from your device and does not store anything on it. We delete these individual page views after two days at the latest. Only aggregated figures per day are retained: views per page and hour, visits, entry and exit pages, common paths between pages, time spent, origin, device type, browser and operating system. None of this can be attributed to a person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing the reach and use of our website and in improving it, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the aggregated figures after 800 days at the latest. For properties, a small script also counts explicit image and floor plan views, video starts, successful file responses and sent enquiries as anonymous daily totals, without additional identifiers or device access.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for an enquiry relating to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The message is not stored on the website but forwarded directly to our mailbox. We delete it as soon as the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention period prevents this.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set any cookies for advertising or analytics. A cookie for logging in to the administration area is technically necessary; it is only set when you log in. If you close a notice window, your browser remembers this locally so that it does not reappear on every visit. What your browser stores locally does not leave your device.

Your rights

You have the right of access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact the address given above.

Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR. The competent authority is that of the federal state (Bundesland) in which we have our registered office.
